DONIPHAN STONE

After years of living for my own desires at the cost of others well being, I received Gods mercy by the obedience of His Son Jesus Christ and experienced His true eternal love.  My eyes were open and my heart was filled.  There was no turning back and I was for the first time truly able to love because I knew, by the faith of a mustard seed, I am always loved by my Heavenly Father.  This mission trip to Haiti is just an overflow of my love for God that is grown by knowing more of His love for me and His heart for all of us in the world.  We are commanded to be missionaries to the ends of the Earth.  This commandment is the greatest purpose in the world and after having cancer at the age of 15 years old, it is something I will do because I know that my life is not my own.  Of course this means we don't have to travel to another nation when there are people made in Gods image just across our streets at home.  This missions trip is more then our commission from Jesus but it is to fuel my passion for the Lord by witnessing a physical suffering that we do not see day to day in Denver and to step into a place were each follower of Christ is rich in the faith they have.  I want to be changed by God by those who have been changed by God and when I am changed by God, then everyone else I come into contact with will to be changed by God.  There is an abundance of spiritual richness available and I will seek that above all else knowing that God is faithful and all desires that He has made in my heart will be given to me.  Jesus is Lord of all and King of Kings and if going to Haiti is where He has planned to give good gifts, then there is where I will go.  I expect God will change all of us, in the EPIC group, before and while in Haiti and that encounter will be a real manifestation of God to those in Haiti, in Denver, and to the ends of the Earth.
