House of Peace

The house of Peace is our guest home for short term missionaries.  It is located on the lower floor of the Delmas 75 House.  It is still a work in progress as we wait for the furnishing to come to provide a welcoming and hospitible invironment for incoming missionaries.  Dom and Louis are the ones running the house of peace and the ones making sure the experience for others is what God desires.  Our vision for the house is being able to provide some of the basic food sources for our guests, for example fresh vegetables from the garden we plan to have, water, light snacks, and of course flowing Haitian Coffee.  The house will have a kitchen, living and dinning room, a large front yard, rooftop view, two running bathrooms, and two dormrooms, one male and one female.  Each of the dorm rooms should be able to accomidate upwards of 8 people at a time, a total 16 both male and female.  The goal of the home is making sure people are well served but also a cultural experience.  Catering the home towards the Haitian cultural will be experienced as we use the home for gathering of locals for business as well as relaionship building through events like meals, guest speakers, and live worship.  Our focus on unity in the body is very important and in everyhing we do we want to connect people with one anoher for edification, support, and boldness.
