i love that we serve a God just as powerful as He is gentle: He's given us authority to trample on snakes & scorpions, & to overcome all the power of the enemy (luke 10:19); our same Creator beckons us to come to Him when we're weary & burdened, because He's gentle & humble in heart (matthew 11:28). what an honor to serve such a God, a personal God, Who loves & cares for me just as much as He does a child in Haiti. i may not be able to physically go on this missions trip, but i am so incredibly honored to be among this group of believers, supporting them in prayer & any other way possible. i know He's going to use us to further His Kingdom, to be salt + light, to be powerful + gentle, following the leading of the Holy Spirit inside us. what's also exciting is that He's not just going to do this through us in Haiti over the summer, but also right now, here, in our day-to-day.
