God's love is truly unfailing sending his only Son Jesus Christ to be crucified for all of our sins. Jesus not only gave everything for us so that we may be connected back to God, He also taught us how we should live our lives. Jesus's number one command is for us to follow him. Matthew 16:24 says, "Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.'" I lived a selfish life full of sin until I realized I needed to change my ways. My lifestyle and goal is to be just like Jesus, to obediently serve so I can experience the blessings of life. I want to care about the passions of God: orphans, widows, poor, homeless, and the needy. This will be my first mission trip, and I am excited to show God's love to the kids in Haiti. God has opened my eyes and ears, and I am ready to jump out of the boat so that my life can glorify His name.
