Pressing forward in Haiti

The birh of many new opporunities to reach and love people in Haiti began from my journey with God at the beginning of this year, 2015.  Here I would like to share what is coninuing and as well as growing in Haiti through EPIC.  The tabs for thhe differen pages on the EPIC blog are what is continuing in Haiti through EPIC and will be updated continually for the most recent activity happening in each specific mission for the the advancement of Gods Kingdom on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Soccer outreach

While I was in Haiti January 15th - Febuary 15th Dom and I continued using Soccer as a means to connect with the communities.  This began while the original EPIC team was in Haiti for a week in August 2014.  It was such a powerful way to gain everyones attention and allowed us to share water or some of the basic needs with everyone as well as to pray and share the good news.  With such amazing results within only a week, we decided to try some of the same tactics and see if God would do something similar.  To Dom and my amazement it was very successful again.  This is something that Dom, Kerby, and Louis have continued to do around the communities in Port-au-prince.

Delmas 75 House

This was a vision that was casted by Dom and myself while I was in Haiti.  It came out of a desire that Dom to own his own business so that he could fund his as well as other ministries.  All three of the brother, Dom, Kerby, and Louis have a dream that is from the Lord of being international missionaries.  For their dreams to be made reality there has to be sourcess of income and with all of there international connections, we saw running a guest house as one of the sources.  Dom new of a house that was for rent and after seeing it we new that this was the one for us staring one.  At the same time this vision was being casted, Dena, Dom and Kerby's good friend and an international missionary from London, had a vision of having a place for ministry purposes.  She had tried times before of having thiis happen but it had never come fully together.  But now with more hands involved and us combining visions, there was a new spark of possibility.  After communication with the Land lord of the home for several months of being back in Colorado, we had the funds for the home and signed the lease for one year to see what God will do with what has been put on His children's hearts.  So the house will function as a permanent home for long term missionaries, a temporary home for short term missionaries, a place for discipleship, a place for healing rooms, and a place for gathering people for encouragement and relationship.

Pastor Day Church Plants

Since my time in Haiti at the beginning of this year, the relationship with Pastor Day has continued and our support of his new direction of church planting will continue to grow.  With every Church in Haiti, they have a church covering from he United States.  To gain credibility with other organizations as well as other churches in Haiti, they partner with a 1st world church.  This is also a good way to recieve some financial support as their church grows and the needs increase.  EPIC has decided to partner with Pastor Day and his church first church of what is many to come.  He is a great man of God who has a desire to see all of Haiti taken care of and most importantly the poorest of the poor to have all of their basic needs met within Haiti.
